Alameda Hospital Hosts Annual Community Health Fair
Fair Celebrates Fifth Anniversary of Certified Primary Stroke Center

Oakland, Calif. (Oct. 17, 2016) – Alameda Hospital will host its annual Community Health Fair on Saturday, October 22 from 9 a.m.-12 p.m. The fair will celebrate the fifth anniversary of the hospital’s certified primary stroke center, which provides the 太阳城博彩 Bay with superior stroke treatment. The health fair reflects the hospital’s commitment to promoting wellness through health screenings including blood glucose testing, blood pressure checks, as well as free flu shots for visitors. The health fair also includes preventative education on strokes, injuries, senior safety, nutrition and cancer.

As a longtime trusted community provider, Alameda Hospital makes accessible community health events a priority. Through its annual Community Health Fair and regular screenings in the community, Alameda Hospital continues to explore ways to provide Alameda residents with services that optimize the health of the community. Preventative care and wellness education are key ingredients to the early detection and intervention of potentially life-threatening conditions that disproportionately affect African Americans, Hispanics and other minority populations, such as stroke and diabetes.

Family-friendly exhibits include a free children’s bicycle helmet giveaway, KidSafe Photo ID and health eating education. Emergency vehicles will be on hand for children to explore and make for great photo opportunities.
